Controversial Ghanaian blogger and social media critic, Bongo Ideas under the real name Albert Nat Hyde, has alleged Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie’s relationship with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He alleged that the celebrated rapper is a card-bearing member of the ruling Party.
He argued on Twitter in an interactive section that Sarkodie can never criticise the NPP in the current economic crisis as he did under former President John Mahama.
“Sarkodie is an NPP card-bearing member. He won’t bash them, not now,” he subtly wrote.
Sarkodie has recently been heavily chastised by some Ghanaians, particularly on social media, for his silence on the country’s economic crisis.
Many think it is right to do the same under the current government as he did under the past Mahama-led NDC administration by releasing songs like “inflation” and others to criticise the government over hardships at the time.
However, the rapper is yet to release a song to that effect after an excerpt of his yet-to-be-released song, which was directed at the President’s “poor” performance, got onto social media.
