The Member of Parliament for Tamale North, Alhassan Suhuyini has said the Supreme Court pronouncement on the voting rights of Deputy speakers while presiding was influenced by public discussions surrounding the matter.
Speaking on Joy News today, he claims that the Justice who sat on the matter listened to the public sentiments before giving its judgement.
“The Supreme Court was wrong. It is clear to me that the justices were influenced by the public discussions of issues in parliament especially relating to the voting of the deputy speaker. They also listen to discussions. They watch us; by now some of them are watching us. It is scientific, you cannot live without being influenced by the environment you live in,” he stated.
He noted that parts of the judgment showed traces of clear ‘NPP propaganda.’
