Former Ghana President, John Dramani Mahama is hopeful that the Black Stars will beat Nicaragua today to recover from the defeat to Brazil last Friday.

The Ghanaian leader backed the Stars to record a good result against the South American national team last week but things, unfortunately, did not go according to plan for the team.

In the mood to get over the disappointment from the Brazil game, John Dramani Mahama has backed the Black Stars to get the job done against Nicaragua this evening.

“Need to shake off the glitch in the 1st half of the Ghana/Brazil game. An emphatic victory against Nicaragua in this friendly soccer match will boost the confidence of the Black Stars. Trusting the team to deliver as we continue to support them. Go Black Stars Go,” the former Ghana president has shared in a Facebook post.

The encounter between Ghana and Nicaragua comes off this evening at Estadio Francisco Artes Carrasco in Lorca, Spain.

The game will kick off at 18:00GMT.
